There has been a change to the requirements for carbon monoxide detectors in rental dwelling units. After April 1, 2018 units must have carbon monoxide alarms installed within the dwelling on every level, including the basement.
If you have a two-story
home with an unfinished basement, you must have three carbon monoxide
detectors
